The title of this blog is not a jejemon word!
Every religious group has its own culture...LifeChurch Makati has its own!
This is the acronym I create to stand for the CULTURE we are embracing at LifeChurch Makati as a church family!
Every country, tribe, ethnic group, institution, organization and, for particular, church has a pattern of collective beliefs and behaviors, we call culture, that are being passed on from the founders and leaders to their people and followers.
Christian church’s denominations, sects and even cults have their own cultures.
At LifeChurch Makati we embody our culture on the global mission of LifeChurch .tv: TO LEAD PEOPLE TO BECOME FULLY DEVOTED FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST!
Our culture is PaPeFFIG!
Pa stands for PASSIONATE! We are passionate in leading people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. It is the motivating factor to us. It is the reason why we gather and meet together. It is the reason where we spend our efforts, energy and resources. We wake up, walk and work for that! It is our heart and our soul!
Pe stands for PEOPLE FRIENDLY! Religious men call this Evangelistic. Some call this Reaching out. But we are simply a church family who is inviting to our family and friends. We are welcoming everyone no matter what past they have or religious orientation they belong. We are accepting them! We do our worship services and programs non-threatening as much as possible to people who are not use to ‘Christian’ church affiliation. We make it easy for them to love God’s Word and to worship Him.
The first F stands for FOCUS! We center our attention on people we would like to lead to JESUS. We will be fluid in everything that we do just for the sake of these people. We are willing to eliminate any thing that will hinder this focus!
The second F stands for FUN-LOVING! We are happy doing things together. We LOL (laugh out loud) for all the success and the triumphs we experience! We find joy in seeing lives changed because of Jesus! We eat out together and find time to bond and enjoy each other. We even laugh on our mistakes!
I stands for INNOVATIVE! There are two principles guiding our being innovative:
“We will do anything short of sin to lead people to become fully devoted followers of Jesus!”
“To reach people no one else is reaching we do things no one else is doing!”
We will embrace and do anything, non-traditional and non-conventional as long as it is not a sin, so that people will be wowed to be attracted to Jesus Christ!
Lastly, G stands for GENEROUS! We adopted the character of those churches and individuals who helped us and is continually helping us financially in this project of leading people to Jesus. We like other churches to be blessed by the blessings we are receiving from others – both financial and resources!
